Near the front of your Bugeye, between the frame rails, there is a metal plate that connects the rails. Though not intended as such, many an owner has used this plate as a jacking point under the car. As the metal is not designed to hold the weight of the car, it becomes bent and deformed, which we have seen on many, many Bugeyes. As a solution, we have fabricated a new plate, made of heavier material than the original. Not only will it replace a bent plate if needed, it will, once properly installed, provide a solid point to jack the car up with.

Installation Note: “Properly installed” means welded into place, and well, especially if you’re going to jack under it.
